Slowly getting back into the swing of things. Thanks for your patience. This show is simply great. So much heart, great story, and a lot of action. Ouken is terrifying, but am I the only one hoping his brother will be able to cure him? |

Are... are we supposed to feel sorry for Miranjo now? Cause I kinda do. How is this show so good? They're developing the hell out of all of these characters. Can't wait to see what's up with Kage's new form. |
Sun, 5 March 2023
For as wild as this show got -- and it was wilin'-- this ending was surprisingly tame and to the point. Comeuppance was had and justice was served. Of course, we had to visit the afterlife first, but you know... wilin'. |

Human trafficking? How we get here? Ji-won is a hot-ass mess who can't make up her mind and now she's about to lose her damn job. |
Mon, 30 January 2023
Sure Ji-won feels betrayed, but at this point she's just being cruel. Either turn his ass in or come clean. Watching this man have a full-on panic attack listening to his dead mother hum a lullaby is just too much! |
Fri, 27 January 2023
A few things I think we forgot to mention: 1. Arisu's dad crying for him š 2. The girl who remembered what happened and knew it wasn't fireworks. Did she also know where they were? Seems so. 3. I should have been clearer that Karube and Chota mentioned that Arisu had help in all games, but not only from them. And they weren't mad at him, but rather wanted him to accept that and not spend the rest of his life apologizing for it. 4. Ahn's tear during surgery and later opening her eyes. |

Two episodes filled with misogyny. Good thing Woo Young-woo is a badass. |
Tue, 29 November 2022
Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. We're surprisingly sad to see this show go. 11 seasons - some great and some not so - culminated in a satisfying finale that nicely set up the spinoffs. |
Sat, 19 November 2022
Can we please stop shooting the Grimes children? Who will kill Pamela? Will Rick and Michonne return for the finale? Are we even ready for this series finale? |
Thu, 17 November 2022
One of the things we really love about this series is how it highlights serious issues in South Korean society. This week it's the push by parents to have their kids be successful in school and the lack of care and understanding given to folks with autism. |
Thu, 17 November 2022
Itaewon Class comes to a very satisfying conclusion. In 16 episodes it examined class status, prejudice against the trans community, and who gets to be considered Korean. Oh, and some good old-fashioned revenge. |

When Hanbada takes on a case involving ATMs, it cements for Woo Young-woo the type of attorney she wants to be. Episode 6, "If I Were a Whale" focuses on a North Korean defector and the power of a mother's love.
|
Fri, 21 October 2022
That castle was dark, dank, and full of treason. Delicious, frustrating, dragon-killing treason. Alicent is ready to usurp Rhaenyra's crown before she ever gets to wear it based on a misunderstanding, but draws the line at not being involved in the planning all along... despite knowing ALL ALONG this is what her father was going to do. Criston Cole continues to murder with impunity and Rhaenys is very selective about who she murders with her dragon (but whatever; it looked amazing). Oh, and we hanging Lords in the foyer and there was foot play. It was a lot and it's not even the finale. |
Sat, 15 October 2022
Saeroyi helps those around him in order for his new business location to succeed; after Geun-won messes up again, Jang has to choose between his son and his company. |

There was so much treason going on. And that child just colonized a dragon. |
Thu, 6 October 2022
Saeroyi stays a step or two ahead of Jang with the help of a not-so-secret-anymore alliance. We finally get a bit of Toni's storyline and the prejudice and racism he faces as a Black Korean. |
Sun, 2 October 2022
Attorney Woo defends an autistic young man accused of murdering his brother, and we see the origins of the bestest besties. |
Fri, 30 September 2022
Ten years later and Criston Cole is still employed and still a whiny, masogynistic bitch and petty Queen Alicent is only too willing to fuel his insecurities as he fuels hers. |
Sun, 25 September 2022
I'm not holding my breath that I'll get it, but I'm shipping Saeroyi and Yi-seo something fierce. Saeroyi continues to be the type of character who brings out the best in those around him -- making him the natural enemy of someone like Jang who poisons everyone -- and it's going to be interesting to see if his ragtag crew can really pull this off.
|
Sun, 25 September 2022
So happy I got the family to sit down and watch what has become one of my favorite k-dramas. Here, we get to know Woo Young-woo, the first autistic attorney in South Korea, through her first two cases. |
Sun, 25 September 2022
No one wants off this mortal coil more than Viserys Targaryen and we get it. |
Fri, 16 September 2022
The only thing open during the hour of the owl is legs. |
Sun, 11 September 2022
Yi-seo has entered the chat and just like that our alliance has shifted. Hey, we're a sucker for a wild child with no filter. On the slow burn revenge front: FIFTEEN years? Saeroyi has a 15-year plan to take down Jang. This man has been living off nothing but petty and spite. And we approve.
|
Fri, 9 September 2022
All a king wants to do is celebrate the second name day of the son he had with his daughter's bestie. Oh, and marry said daughter off to a Lannister frat boy. He doesn't want to be bothered with a war that he's losing or quieting the whispers that call for his daughter's removal as his heir. And that's why we won't have nice things and I can't believe dragons will die for this. Speaking of dragons... Those Targaryen boys just built different. Fueled by nothing but petty spite, Daemon ended the war in the Stepstones in five minutes, all so he wouldn't have to thank his brother for the help he didn't ask for. I stan forever. Listen as Sarah and I break down the latest episode of Viserys, What Is You Thinking?
|
Fri, 9 September 2022
We end the season with the Paper Girls separated, but with a clear mission: don't invent time travel! No idea where Mac and KJ were sent (hopefully someplace without dinosaurs), but Tiffany and Erin are in the '70s. I hope it's kind to little Black and Chinese girls.
|
Fri, 2 September 2022
If there's one thing King Viserys is gonna do every time, it's make the wrong damn decision. Not that marrying a 12-year-old would be BETTER... What he needs to do is worry about those festering wounds and just let his daughter learn to rule from someone who actually knows how to do it. But, alas... he's in love or whatever. Thankfully, Corlys and Daemon are both over it and it looks like we'll get some action dragon next week. And can we please, please, please keep precious Laena away from King's Landing until she's at least 30?

Adult Tiff is amazing and we're happy KJ found someone to talk to about her love of "movies." |
Fri, 26 August 2022
Set nearly 200 years before they did my girl Dany dirty (Iām not interested in arguing with you about this), House of the Dragon is follows the events in George RR Martinās 2018 book Fire & Blood ā the first of two volumes detailing the rise and fall of the Targaryen dynasty. Because the show begins at the halfway point of volume one, we donāt get to see Aegon and his sister-wives bring Westeros to heel. Instead, weāre in the year 101 A.C. when King Jaehaerys I names his grandson Viserys the Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne. This sets off decades of betrayal and infighting (and incest) that culminates in the infamous Dance of the Dragons. As odd as it sounds, it felt good to be back in this world of political machinations, tragic pregnancies, violent jousting, and dragons. Oh, so many dragons. Sarah and I discussed the season premiere, providing a bit of Westerosi history along the way. |
Tue, 23 August 2022
We love an old-fashioned tale of revenge and when it comes with a side of questioning class, privilege, and belonging in South Korea, even better. And if it stars Park Seo-Joon? Well, now Itaewon Class is just showing off. We were instantly invested in the relationship between Park's ex-con turned bar owner Park Saeroyi and his hardworking, generous father played by Son Heung-Ju. To be a week ahead with our Itaewon Class podcasts, subscribe to Project Fandom on Patreon. |
Tue, 23 August 2022
We knew the inappropriate yet oddly sweet bro-sis reunion would be short-lived, but it still sucked to see Mac bawling on the back of that bike. Next up? Just how disappointing will future Tiff be? |
Tue, 23 August 2022
Even though the episode hit all the beats of a series premiere (origins of the heroās power, training montage, etc.), it still felt like a 30-minute cold open and thatās fine. It set up the quirky tone of the show nicely with hints of higher stakes and bigger dangers to come. Tatiana Maslany shines, but those of us who loved Orphan Black expected as much. This a special free listen to our Premium coverage of She-Hulk. To listen to us discuss the full season, subscribe on Patreon. |
Sun, 14 August 2022
Not having read the graphic novel series, my anticipation for Netflixās live-action adaptation of The Sandman was based on solely on my love of Neil Gaimanās other works (American Gods), the visuals in the trailer, and the diversity of the cast. Everything delivered in the first two episodes. Charles Danceās Roderick Burgess was like if Tywin Lannister went to Hogwarts ā and you know heād have been Slytherin ā and Tom Sturridge is about to AMSR his way into reading some Buzzfeed thirst tweets. Itās not until episode two, when Sturridgeās Morpheus witnesses the cost of his absence, that things get truly beautiful. |
Fri, 12 August 2022
We doubled up and covered two episodes this week because Paper Girls is just so damn good. The time travel, healing robotic insects, and giant mech are all cool, but the best moments continue to be the ones in which the girls bond. Those scenes are so well-written and the actors bring them to life in a way that feels natural. A few highlights include KJ calling out Mac for the hate speech she repeats, Mac and Erin clearing the air after that whole āyou shot me in the gutā thing, and the four new friends unpacking what it means to be decades ahead of all the people and things they love. Weāll be reviewing episodes 4 and 5 together for next weekās Paper Girl podcast. Really looking forward to seeing adult Tiffany and more of Mac coming to terms with the news about her health and her oddly wholesome relationship with her brother. |

In Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area, the reunification of North Korea and South Korea promises economic prosperity for all. In reality, the rich got richer, the poor got poorer, and in that widening gap a criminal mastermind hatched a plan. |

Based on the graphic novel by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang, Paper Girls is a live-action 8-episode series set in the '80s and follows four girls on their morning paper route. Too bad it's the morning of Hell Day. |
Thu, 28 July 2022
We take a break from all the murder with two thoughtful, but still hilarious, episodes focusing on Bunny's surprising connections with those around her and a look into the interrupted father-daughter bond between Charles and Lucy. We might be back to murder soon enough as it seems the newly released Teddy is Will's real father? |
Mon, 4 July 2022
So, Bunny's mom did it, right? Also, if there's a next victim, I nominate Amy Schumer. |
Mon, 4 July 2022
There were some tech difficulties in three spots so there may be a jump in the conversation but it shouldn't be anything too bad. Another good episode. We all hope Kathleen really did read Michael's ass for filth. |
Thu, 30 June 2022
One episode in and we're already arguing over which world is real. Welcome back, Westworld. We missed you. |
Thu, 30 June 2022
She's perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. |
Wed, 1 June 2022
Why did I want to see the owl theory? HOWEVER, listening to Sarah describe how it scared the shit out of her and how Ellen thought it would be like a scene in a '90s Debra Winger movie made it all worth it. We all agreed this episode felt the most "TV" so far, but we enjoyed it. |
Tue, 31 May 2022
This did not disappoint. Dare I say, it was even better than I thought it would be? Young Leia, an Obi-Wan filled with doubt, a reckless and frightening Inquisitor in Reva, more cute droids, new locations and old favorites. Plus, that reveal at the end of episode 2. I have zero complaints. |
Tue, 24 May 2022
Michael stay getting ass and I don't know how. Also, did... did he join a Black gang? That footage had Sophie down bad.
Next week: Hoot-Hoot |
Fri, 20 May 2022
Still enjoying the way they're telling the story, complete with the reenactments of the different theories. The manipulation of the daughters is hard to watch, though. As is the obvious pure-T homophobia. |
Wed, 18 May 2022
First, special thank you to Julie for co-hosting with me and for agreeing to help me cover season 2! The Hansu episode was tragic, yet beautiful. While it doesn't excuse anything he has done thus far, it does explain a lot. Little is Noa is a spark plug! I'm most looking forward to learning where he is in "present" especially now that we know Hansu came sniffing around. Ugh. And I just know he had something to do with Isak's arrest. Season 2 can't get here soon enough. |
Mon, 16 May 2022
Cortana was like, you must not know 'bout me. |
Mon, 16 May 2022
Cruelty really is the point. Everything about life for Koreans in Osaka was as hard as Hansu said it would be, but my god won't marginalized folks find a way to have joy? The birth of Noa was a beautiful moment and cemented this new household as a family. I'm so happy this will be back for a second season. Julie and I will be back next week to talk about the final two episodes of season one. |
Mon, 16 May 2022
22 years ago, John was a snitch. And yet, Soren still fucks with him. I do not like Dr. Halsey and Vishnar needs to go.
|
Mon, 16 May 2022
Everything about Sunja's goodbye was as heartbreaking as her return was joyous. Wow. |
Fri, 13 May 2022
I'm joined by Sarah and Ellen to discuss the first three episodes. We're all aware of the case and watched the documentary this series is largely based on so we will be discussing events that might be considered "spoilers," but as this IS based on a true story that's to be expected. The casting/acting has been the highlight so far, and they've managed to tell this in a way that's interesting to those who've seen the documentary. |
