We felt this betrayal in our bones. Yet, these episdoes had a pretty big reveal: Bojji and Kage are both cursed?

Two episodes filled with misogyny. Good thing Woo Young-woo is a badass. 

Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. 

We're surprisingly sad to see this show go. 11 seasons - some great and some not so - culminated in a satisfying finale that nicely set up the spinoffs. 

Can we please stop shooting the Grimes children? Who will kill Pamela? Will Rick and Michonne return for the finale? Are we even ready for this series finale?

One of the things we really love about this series is how it highlights serious issues in South Korean society. This week it's the push by parents to have their kids be successful in school and the lack of care and understanding given to folks with autism. 

Itaewon Class comes to a very satisfying conclusion. In 16 episodes it examined class status, prejudice against the trans community, and who gets to be considered Korean. Oh, and some good old-fashioned revenge. 

As Negan considers a deal with the warden, Mercer considers the future of The Commonwealth. 

Rumors of Attorney Woo's special treatment swirl around Hanbada thanks to Attorney Kwon. The team takes on a case to keep a very special town together. 

With Geun-won in prison, Geun-soo looks to be getting his villain clothes ready. There's a surprising connection between Toni and Mrs. Kim, and it may be the answer to Saeroyi's problems.

Pamela Milton has Eugene hunted for the death of her son. Meanwhile, Maggie, Darly, Carol, Rosita, and Gabe find the others have been taken to a very familiar place. 

We look forward to supporting all of Rhaenyra's war crimes in season 2.

In which we devote our hearts to Prince Bojji, first of his name. 

Y'all weren't gonna tell me walkers are climbing ladders and turning doorknobs now?

When Hanbada takes on a case involving ATMs, it cements for Woo Young-woo the type of attorney she wants to be. Episode 6, "If I Were a Whale" focuses on a North Korean defector and the power of a mother's love.

That castle was dark, dank, and full of treason. Delicious, frustrating, dragon-killing treason. 

Alicent is ready to usurp Rhaenyra's crown before she ever gets to wear it based on a misunderstanding, but draws the line at not being involved in the planning all along... despite knowing ALL ALONG this is what her father was going to do. Criston Cole continues to murder with impunity and Rhaenys is very selective about who she murders with her dragon (but whatever; it looked amazing). Oh, and we hanging Lords in the foyer and there was foot play. It was a lot and it's not even the finale.

Saeroyi helps those around him in order for his new business location to succeed; after Geun-won messes up again, Jang has to choose between his son and his company.

Vaemond said the quiet part out loud. War soon come.

Carol and Negan rush to find leverage against Hornsby. 

There was so much treason going on. And that child just colonized a dragon. 

Saeroyi stays a step or two ahead of Jang with the help of a not-so-secret-anymore alliance. We finally get a bit of Toni's storyline and the prejudice and racism he faces as a Black Korean. 

Attorney Woo defends an autistic young man accused of murdering his brother, and we see the origins of the bestest besties.

Ten years later and Criston Cole is still employed and still a whiny, masogynistic bitch and petty Queen Alicent is only too willing to fuel his insecurities as he fuels hers. 

I'm not holding my breath that I'll get it, but I'm shipping Saeroyi and Yi-seo something fierce. Saeroyi continues to be the type of character who brings out the best in those around him -- making him the natural enemy of someone like Jang who poisons everyone -- and it's going to be interesting to see if his ragtag crew can really pull this off. 

So happy I got the family to sit down and watch what has become one of my favorite k-dramas. Here, we get to know Woo Young-woo, the first autistic attorney in South Korea, through her first two cases. 

No one wants off this mortal coil more than Viserys Targaryen and we get it. 

The only thing open during the hour of the owl is legs. 

Yi-seo has entered the chat and just like that our alliance has shifted. Hey, we're a sucker for a wild child with no filter. On the slow burn revenge front: FIFTEEN years? Saeroyi has a 15-year plan to take down Jang. This man has been living off nothing but petty and spite. And we approve. 

All a king wants to do is celebrate the second name day of the son he had with his daughter's bestie. Oh, and marry said daughter off to a Lannister frat boy. He doesn't want to be bothered with a war that he's losing or quieting the whispers that call for his daughter's removal as his heir. 

And that's why we won't have nice things and I can't believe dragons will die for this. 

Speaking of dragons... 

Those Targaryen boys just built different. Fueled by nothing but petty spite, Daemon ended the war in the Stepstones in five minutes, all so he wouldn't have to thank his brother for the help he didn't ask for. I stan forever.

We end the season with the Paper Girls separated, but with a clear mission: don't invent time travel! No idea where Mac and KJ were sent (hopefully someplace without dinosaurs), but Tiffany and Erin are in the '70s. I hope it's kind to little Black and Chinese girls. 

If there's one thing King Viserys is gonna do every time, it's make the wrong damn decision. Not that marrying a 12-year-old would be BETTER... What he needs to do is worry about those festering wounds and just let his daughter learn to rule from someone who actually knows how to do it. But, alas... he's in love or whatever. 

Thankfully, Corlys and Daemon are both over it and it looks like we'll get some action dragon next week. And can we please, please, please keep precious Laena away from King's Landing until she's at least 30? 

Set nearly 200 years before they did my girl Dany dirty (I’m not interested in arguing with you about this), House of the Dragon is follows the events in George RR Martin’s 2018 book Fire & Blood — the first of two volumes detailing the rise and fall of the Targaryen dynasty. Because the show begins at the halfway point of volume one, we don’t get to see Aegon and his sister-wives bring Westeros to heel. Instead, we’re in the year 101 A.C. when King Jaehaerys I names his grandson Viserys the Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne. This sets off decades of betrayal and infighting (and incest) that culminates in the infamous Dance of the Dragons.

As odd as it sounds, it felt good to be back in this world of political machinations, tragic pregnancies, violent jousting, and dragons. Oh, so many dragons. Sarah and I discussed the season premiere, providing a bit of Westerosi history along the way.

We love an old-fashioned tale of revenge and when it comes with a side of questioning class, privilege, and belonging in South Korea, even better. And if it stars Park Seo-Joon? Well, now Itaewon Class is just showing off.

We were instantly invested in the relationship between Park's ex-con turned bar owner Park Saeroyi and his hardworking, generous father played by Son Heung-Ju.

Even though the episode hit all the beats of a series premiere (origins of the hero’s power, training montage, etc.), it still felt like a 30-minute cold open and that’s fine. It set up the quirky tone of the show nicely with hints of higher stakes and bigger dangers to come. Tatiana Maslany shines, but those of us who loved Orphan Black expected as much.

Not having read the graphic novel series, my anticipation for Netflix’s live-action adaptation of The Sandman was based on solely on my love of Neil Gaiman’s other works (American Gods), the visuals in the trailer, and the diversity of the cast. Everything delivered in the first two episodes. Charles Dance’s Roderick Burgess was like if Tywin Lannister went to Hogwarts — and you know he’d have been Slytherin — and Tom Sturridge is about to AMSR his way into reading some Buzzfeed thirst tweets. It’s not until episode two, when Sturridge’s Morpheus witnesses the cost of his absence, that things get truly beautiful.

We doubled up and covered two episodes this week because Paper Girls is just so damn good. The time travel, healing robotic insects, and giant mech are all cool, but the best moments continue to be the ones in which the girls bond. Those scenes are so well-written and the actors bring them to life in a way that feels natural. A few highlights include KJ calling out Mac for the hate speech she repeats, Mac and Erin clearing the air after that whole “you shot me in the gut” thing, and the four new friends unpacking what it means to be decades ahead of all the people and things they love.

We’ll be reviewing episodes 4 and 5 together for next week’s Paper Girl podcast. Really looking forward to seeing adult Tiffany and more of Mac coming to terms with the news about her health and her oddly wholesome relationship with her brother.

Based on the graphic novel by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang, Paper Girls is a live-action 8-episode series set in the '80s and follows four girls on their morning paper route. Too bad it's the morning of Hell Day. 

We take a break from all the murder with two thoughtful, but still hilarious, episodes focusing on Bunny's surprising connections with those around her and a look into the interrupted father-daughter bond between Charles and Lucy. We might be back to murder soon enough as it seems the newly released Teddy is Will's real father?

Don't judge us.

She's perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. 

Why did I want to see the owl theory? HOWEVER, listening to Sarah describe how it scared the shit out of her and how Ellen thought it would be like a scene in a '90s Debra Winger movie made it all worth it. We all agreed this episode felt the most "TV" so far, but we enjoyed it. 

Next week: Hoot-Hoot 

Still enjoying the way they're telling the story, complete with the reenactments of the different theories. The manipulation of the daughters is hard to watch, though. As is the obvious pure-T homophobia. 

Cortana was like, you must not know 'bout me. 

Cruelty really is the point. Everything about life for Koreans in Osaka was as hard as Hansu said it would be, but my god won't marginalized folks find a way to have joy? The birth of Noa was a beautiful moment and cemented this new household as a family. I'm so happy this will be back for a second season. Julie and I will be back next week to talk about the final two episodes of season one.

I'm joined by my friend Julie to discuss the first three episodes of Pachinko. There's a bit of history, a lot of sharing, some tears, and plenty of laughter. 

We got a catfight, the funniest political debate I've ever seen, and possible cannibals. Oh, and Alma is about to become governor of the DMZ after being there two whole days. El-oh-el.

After a second American civil war, Alma Ortega sneaks into the DMZ of Manhattan to search for her son. We have lots of questions and lots of love for Odi. Also, Benjamin Bratt is aging like fine-ass wine. 

I wouldn't have thought this show would make me cry so hard at the end, but it did. Though, I still don't know why or what the fuck. 

Absolutely gutted by that death. Despite the foreshadowing, we'd hoped they'd be safe. The backstory of Hyun-su's bullying is as infuriating as it is confusing. Was his bully just a sociopath?

Not really here for Hyun-su as the demon errand boy. It's one thing if he offered, but being forced to do the dirty work and then put into isolation is fucked up. Sang-wook's backstory is tragic, but what a badass move in bringing back those corpses. 

Hyun-su is... special. Is this an apartment building filled with traumatized people being hunted and haunted by their literal demons? 

From the twisted mind of Kim Carnby comes a live-action Netflix adaptation of his graphic novel series "Sweet Home." It's gory, it's weird, it's oddly heartbreaking. And that's just the first two episodes. 

Kuina is a queen! Episode 7 was the best of the season (maybe 3 is a close second). The ending was satisfying and we're really looking forward to season 2. 

We finally reach The Beach and these people have lost their damn minds. Arisu was way too trusting and if he'd have picked up on all the AIW references, he would know you can't trust the Cheshire Cat! 

On to the witch hunt! I love a good locked room mystery.
